The Garage Roof Goes On and More

Supports for the garage roof are put in place.

Syrofoam panels are then laid in place as insulation.Rebar and utility lines are put in place.A platform is built and this is how all the concrete for the roof will be hauled up, in 5 gallon buckets and all by hand, and poured into place.PJ doesn't like the height and won't go to the top.It took 9 workers a full day to pour the concrete by hand. In this time each one of them walked the equivalent of 5 kilometers going up and down this 25 meter long ramp. Very hard work in the heat wave we are having (upper 90s). For the second time this week we bring the crew ice cold Cokes and below is PJ handing them out along side the ramp. The columns for the stairs to the deck above the garage. One of the views from our garage deck (Shelly made the trek up).The support columns for the trailer shade structure were secured in concrete bases,
the upper supports were welded into place, and so were the cross beams. Our workers have already moved in.
This little one was hiding from us. She may be a new addition to the family if she is here when we move in.Here is the opening for the stairs to the deck on the bedroom/bathroom building. The exterior of the bedroom/bathroom building are covered with cement and texturized.
