Our New House aka The Trailer

We finally get to see our new house. We ask if any repairs are needed how this works and are told that if parts need to be ordered this can take a few weeks. So the need for us to stay in the area to check everything out on our own is not necessary as we can get parts at other authorized service facilities across the country (several in Arizona). The inspection check list takes 2 hours to go through. Everything seems to be in perfect working order and we absolutely love it.In hooking the trailer hitch to the truck we find that the safety chains are too short, they provide us for free chain extensions. Also the trailer brake control isn't working. After much investigation by PJ to find the problem, a technician finds the dealer installed tow plug under the dash (all trucks have them they just hide them and don't tell you about them unless you buy the tow package from the dealer, nice...) and he drives to his parts distributor and buys us a plug for $10 and we plug in and are off.We head back to Nebraska to spend the night and play with all the components in our new house. PJ says that it tows great and is no harder to tow than the boat. We are very lucky to find a very long RV space at a park we stop at and PJ backs it in beautifully. We are very excited to be living in our trailer and we try everything out. We make celebratory martinis, PJ does yet another retirement dance, and we see fireflies. The trailer is very comfortable and we are thinking of all the ways we can make it home.

We drove to Colorado the next morning and arrived just prior to the most major lightning, thunder, rain, and hail storm hit that we have seen our 2 months in Colorado. We frantically close all the windows, vents, and storage compartments in the trailer and guess this is a good test to see if we have any leaks - we do not!!!
