A Celebration

Today we awoke to the morning temperature being 65 degrees - wow! what a difference from 81 degrees. It is stunning; the humidity is down and the temps feel wonderful! Mosquitos are still bad but we are hopeful they will start to die off.

Went to Hermosillo today and had a fantastic day shopping. Started at the Ace Hardware and this store is amazing; everything you could ever want and the prices are good. Glassware, cleaning supplies (Simple Green), furniture, plastic containers, clothespins, ziplocks, etc. Next was La Cubiella, a liquor (wine) store and their prices were better than the local grocery stores. Purchased reasonably priced wines from Argentina and Chile along with martini vodka and port. Next was Costco and we went down every single aisle. Purchased blue cheese, asparagus, Alaskan salmon, nuts, supplements, and had pizza slices for lunch. Mega is right next door so we checked them out and found such a selection (bagels, yeast for homemade bread, decent olives, brown mustard) and prices that we would consider driving here for our everyday shopping. Last was the Walmart superstore where we found Gerard's Light Champaign Salad Dressing - YUM.

Next trip Shelly swears we will eat sushi in town.
