Up, Up, Up, We Go
We were told there was a road that goes all the way up to the communication towers above Guaymas so we decided to find it this morning. You have to first find the prison and then continue past it to find the one lane cobblestone road. From below the road appears to have 2 switchbacks yet once we were driving it we discovered there are several. It is certainly a one lane road and there are no shoulders and a straight drop down. The drive up was very scary. The photo below is of part of the road coming up. The steps to the edge were also very scary. The view from the top is spectacular showing all of Guaymas, Miramar, San Carlos, and surrounding areas. The photo below is of the prison (far right), local cemetery (left of prison), and surrounding neighborhoods. If we get brave enough we will next take this road up on our ATV.
