Life As We Know It
Guaymas is the town next to us where we do most of our shopping, errands, etc. This is where we get our 5 gallon (garafon) drinking water bottles filled for 7 pesos each (about .50 cents). We went on another 4-wheel adventure in an attempt to find one of the locations we visited on the beach on our boat trip. We came upon a closed gate with a stop sign posted on it. It didn't have a lock on it so we opened it and drove through. Immediately we saw a vehicle so we pulled over and stopped. An entourage of Jeeps approached us. It was the Sonora Drivers 4-Wheel Club. We took this as a sign that it was okay for us to pass this closed gate and we continued on our way. We drove to and found a palapa on the beach that we had visited on our boat trip. We then followed an old road into the hills and came across this palm grove on one of the hillsides. On the way back this was the view of our town. The fishing reports have gotten better so we went out on the boat. We went out about 27 miles fr
